Finally on the road, and only 12 hours behind schedule. The grand plan called for a 6am departure, and we hit the road exactly at 6.... pm! Packing the entire lives of three people for several months is no easy task! Of course, our first stop had to be the local Starbucks... And our last dinner in California was at In-N-Out Burger. We crossed into Arizona at 11:40pm California time, which took us into the Mountain time zone at 12:40pm. After a late night of driving we pulled into Camping World in Mesa, AZ and drew the shades for the night.
